Liberal complicity with Takfiri enablers contributed to the growth of right wing ideologues

For decades after General Zia ul Haq, and well past into 2014, both Nawaz Sharif and Imran Khan competed on who could be a bigger supporter and apologist of Takfiri mullahs.

Nawaz Sharif had a bromance with both Sipah e Sahaba and Modi. And Imran Niazi actually wished for a Modi victory in 2019.

If anyone had a consistent and principled stand against Modi and against obscurantists in Pakistan, it was Bilawal Bhutto Zardari; NOT Nawaz Sharif or Imran Khan.

The liberals in Pakistan who are moaning about the “death of secularism in India” have often sided with Sipah e Sahaba and its subsidiaries like Jaish e Mohammad.

When the Vice President of Sipah e Sahaba, Malik Ishaq was killed in 2015, it was Pakistani liberals and PML N that cried the loudest tears. When the Hakeemullahs and Baitullah Meshuds were being taken out, it was PTI and PML N that were outraged and upset.

PPP was just relieved that the murderers of Benazir Bhutto, Shahbaz Bhatti, Taseer etc were getting their dues.

In 2013, Ehsanullah Ehsan publicly endorsed PML N and PTI on behalf of the TTP. He publicly threatened PPP and ANP. PML N depended on Al Qaeda and Sipah Sahaba to wipe out PPP in Punjab.

And in December 2014, it was the same PML N and PTI darling, Ehsanullah Ehsan, whose terrorist outfit murdered 150 schools kids in PTI’s Peshawar.

Since 2018 and before, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has warned PTI about its senior ministers being too cosy with Takfiri terrorists.

And for this crime, the smut peddlers at PTI and MQM responded by slandering Bilawal with the most nasty slurs imaginable.

The Hindutva fascist movement would never have been possible without the decades long policy of supporting Takfiri terrorists who ruined the indigenous struggle in Kashmir. The only leader who opposed this policy from 1989 was Benazir Bhutto and she paid for this stand multiple times. And finally with her life in 2007.

Her elected government was thrown off on cooked up corruption charges in 1990. But the real reasons that Benazir’s government was toppled by IJI/PML N-ISI-MQM-OBL was because she was deemed a “security risk” for her principled stand on NOT backing Jihadi terrorists into Kashmir.

When President Zardari and PM Gillani risked their lives in 2008 to oppose groups like JeM, we all saw what happened to them. We saw how Nawaz Sharif and Imran Khan and Pakistan’s prejudiced media and judiciary lynched that PPP government.

Especially for PPP’s support of the Kerry Lugar bill that contributed billions of dollars of economic development grants to civilian institutions. And we saw Imran Khan and Nawaz Sharif publicly slug their parties with the same terrorists outfits that were held being blamed for the Mumbai attacks. The DPC was represented by “Baaghi” – the senior PML N leader who briefly joined PTI.

Of course, Pakistani liberals/PTI-PML N apologists continue to support such tactics in Syria and Iraq where political initiatives were co-opted by Western-backed Al Qaeda/ISIS terrorists.

So please spare us your outrage about the “death of secularism in India”. When it mattered, liberals and boutique leftists in Pakistan marched with JUI, Jamaat e Islami, Sipah e Sahaba, General Hamid Gul types and against PPP. Not just in 1977 but also in 2009.
