A few months ago, the Syrian army captured the town of Ma’ra al-Nu’man, near the Syrian city of Idlib, from ISIS and Al-Nusra’s Kharijites. It was revealed that the ISIS terrorists had caused major damage to the town including the holy tomb of Hazrat Umar Ibn Abdul Aziz. This news is dated January 2020.
Five months after this heinous incident, some Takfiri Kharijites are trying to paint the incident as sectarian. Beware of their nefarious designs.
Earlier, the same Kharijites with extremist Wahhabi ideology had destroyed the holy graves of Hazrat Hujr ibn Adi, Hazrat Ammar Yasir and Hazrat Owais Qarni in Syria.
When Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahab and the Saud family came to power in Saudi Arabia, their first acts were to destroy the shrines of the Rightly Guided Caliph Hazrat Uthman and Hazrat Fatima in the Al-Baqi graveyard.
In Pakistan, the same Kharijites have attacked the shrines of Data Darbar, Abdullah Shah Ghazi, Jhal Magsi, Shah Noorani, Rehman Baba and Lal Shahbaz Qalandar, which they unjustifiably call the bases of polytheism.
Some narrow-minded sectarian elements blame the Sunni or Shia sects for these crimes. Keep in mind that Sunni and Shia Muslims alike are shocked by the destruction of these shrines and call on the Saudi and Syrian governments to rebuild all these shrines immediately and punish the perpetrators.
Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz is widely considered the sixth Righteous Caliph after the Rashidun Caliphs and Imam Hasan and widely respected by Muslims of all sects. He handed over the management of the Fadak property to the descendants of Hazrat Fatima and in the Friday sermons put an end to the ugly ritual of cursing Hazrat Ali. His enemies can be the same Takfiri Kharijites who have enmity in their veins against Ahl al-Bayt and the Sufi Awliya Allah.
