May 7th: The anniversary of 3 martyrs of PPP – Aamir Hussaini

Razzaq Jharna was hanged on 7th May, 1984. He was one of those, who had made the first line of defense for democracy against the Zia dictatorship. Razzaq Jharna went cheerfully and bravely to the gallows while uttering slogans of “Jiye Bhutto”.

Rashid Rahman Advocate from Multan gunned down by Pro-Ziaist Islamic fundamentalist terrorist on 7th May, 2014 because he was defending Junaid Hafeez, former visiting lecturer at BZU Multan, facing blasphemy charges from fan clubs of Ziaist fundamentalism.

Syed Khurram Zaki, former Editor of LUBP (aka CriticalPPP) social activist and Shia-rights defender was gunned down by terrorist of #SSP aka #ASWJ a brainchild of former dictator Zia ul haq on 7th May, 2016 in Karachi.

It is coincidence all three martyrs have links with #PPP and #Bhuttos.

Families of Razzaq Jharna, Rashid Rahman and Syed Khurram Zaki were old supporter of PPP. Razzaq Jharna belonged to PSF student wing of PPP, Rashid’s father Ashfaq ur Rahman was staunch worker of PPP and was appointed ambassador of Pakistan in Vietnam by ZAB. Syed Khurram Zaki was also supporter of PPP and SMBB.

Khurram Zaki’s peaceful struggle against the notorious, hate mongering Lal Masjid endeared him to many. The rise of Lal Masjid was sponsored by General Zia ul Haq.

This was another common thing in lives of three martyr comrades was their struggle against Ziaist fundamentalism.

All of three comrades were deprived from their lives because they want to see Pakistan free from sectarianism, dictatorship, injustice, from class, creed, race even every type of discrimination, they want to see Pakistan where nobody was deprived from his/her life because of his religious or ethnic identity.

All democratic enlightened progressive circles are mourning over their death today and commemorating their struggle.

Long Live Razzaq Jharna
Long Live Rashid Rahman
Long Live Syed Khurram Zaki.
